About Us
Shepherd, Finkelman, Miller & Shah, LLP is a national law firm that represents a variety of plaintiffs: consumers, investors, employees, pension funds, and whistleblowers, to highlight a few.
Many of our cases are brought as class actions, a procedure that allows individuals to join together to take on even the largest and wealthiest corporations in situations where individuals, standing alone, would otherwise be powerless.
Virtually all of our cases are handled on a contingent fee basis, meaning that we are not paid anything unless and until we are successful in resolving our clients' claims through trial or settlement. In most cases, fees and costs are paid only out of a judgment or settlement fund. If the case is unsuccessful, generally we receive no fees and our clients owe us nothing.
Our firm maintains offices in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida, Connecticut, and Wisconsin, and our lawyers are admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Arizona, Oregon, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida, Connecticut, California, Wisconsin and Illinois. Our practice is national in scope, as we are often called upon to represent clients across the country. As a result, we have developed relationships with a network of excellent lawyers and firms in virtually every state, and when we are called upon to represent clients outside of our principal states we work with one of these firms. We recently have been or are presently involved in cases in Alabama, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin and Virginia. We also have relationships with several lawyers and law firms in Canada, and cooperate with counsel on lawsuits brought in Provincial courts there.
